Detailed Itinerary

Day 01

Welcome to Lima, capital of Perú

Upon arrival, our team will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, this day will be ideal to rest or start visiting the city.

Day 02

 Lima City tour

  Referential time: 9:00 to 13:30 hrs

We begin this journey throughout Peru diverse, in Lima, the capital of Peru, the City of Kings. Our first stop is Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Hispanic archaeological site built in the 4th century AD. From there, we head to Lima’s historic center, where you’ll see impressive colonial and republican architecture, including the Main Square, Government Palace, and Lima Cathedral. We’ll also visit San Francisco Church and its eerie yet fascinating catacombs.
Then continue to the modern side of the city as we tour the residential and financial districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, offering us a stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.
In addition, you'll visit the Museum of Gold and Weapons of Peru, which houses and displays thousands of pre-Columbian artifacts  made in gold and silver. We'll also explore its impressive collection of more than 20,000 weapons from five continents and different historical periods. This experience will transport you back in time and provide a deeper understanding of the ancient civilizations that developed in Peru.

Day 03

Ballestas Islands – Huacachina Oasis – Buggies

We will pick up from your hotel in Lima to start our trip to the south. After approximately 3 hours, we will arrive at the Pier of Paracas, where we will embark on our first experience of the day.
On board a boat, we will embark on the tour to the Ballestas Islands, this is a natural paradise where you will observe up close some of the marine fauna of the Paracas Reserve, such as: sea lions, Humboldt penguins and a great variety of seabirds. During the boat ride, we will also see the enigmatic geoglyph known as “El Candelabro”, a gigantic figure carved in the sand, whose origin remains a mystery.
Then, we will continue to Ica, this city is located an hour's drive from Paracas. There we will visit Wineries and Vineyards for traditional Pisco Production, where you not only learn about the production process of the famous Peruvian pisco and wine, but also you will enjoy a tasting of the most representative varieties of these beverages.
At noon, you'll have free time to enjoy a delicious lunch. Afterwards, we’ll head to the famous Huacachina Lagoon, known as the “Oasis of America.” This small desert offers a unique landscape, making it the ideal place for sandboarding. You’ll also hop on a powerful buggy and ride through the towering sand dunes of Huacachina, an unforgettable  thrilling desert adventure. In the afternoon, we’ll head to our hotel in the oasis to rest. Overnight at Ica.

Day 04

Day of mystery in the Peruvian desert - Flight over the Nazca Lines - Bus to Arequipa

This day we will explore one of the greatest mysteries of the Peruvian desert. Early in the morning, we will transfer you to the bus station to board your 3-hour ride to Nazca. Upon arrival, your local guide will meet you and take you straight to the airport for your Nazca Lines experience.
Before the flight over the Nazca Lines, you will watch an introductory video that presents the main theories about the origin and meaning of these enigmatic Nazca Lines. Then you will embark on this aerial tour for approximately 30 minutes, from the sky you will observe these gigantic figures traced in the desert sands, whose precision and size still baffle the world. Among the most popular figures are the monkey, the hummingbird, the condor, the astronaut, among others that make this place a true mystery.
After the overflight, we will continue with a visit to the pre-Hispanic cemetery of Chauchilla, where the mummified remains, textiles and ceramics reveal much about the ancient cultures that inhabited this arid zone. Finally we return to the city of Nazca for lunch before board the  bus to Arequipa.After 9 hours, you will be arriving to the white city, overnight in Arequipa.

Day 05

City tour in Arequipa - Discover the White City

Today, Arequipa, known as "The White City" for its singular colonial architecture built from sillar, a white volcanic stone, welcomes you with its timeless charm and stunning landscapes.
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel to begin the tour with visits to the scenic viewpoints of Carmen Alto and Yanahuara. From these spots, you'll enjoy panoramic views of Arequipa city, always guarded by the majestic Misti volcano, then, we will go to its elegant Plaza de Armas, surrounded by colonial arches and highlighted by its imposing Cathedral. We will continue to the Church of the Company of Jesus, which stands out for its impressive baroque facade and its fine stone carvings, we will visit closely its amazing colonial cloisters. 
The tour concludes with a visit to the Santa Catalina Monastery, a walled citadel within the city. Founded in the 17th century, this religious complex remained closed to the outside world for more than 300 years. Its narrow passageways, colorful courtyards, and peaceful ambiance transport you back in time and offer insight into the colonial life of the era.
At the end of the tour, return to your hotel to rest and spend the night in Arequipa.

Day 06

Colca Canyon Excursion 2 Days

  Estimated distance: 160 km in 3 hours with stops along the way.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will start our trip to the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world,  On the way, we will pass through Yura and the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, where you’ll have the chance to see vicuñas and alpacas grazing in the Andean wetlands.

We will make a stop at the Mirador de los Andes at 4,800 meters above sea level, from where we have a spectacular view of the volcanoes of the region. Then, we will descend to the town of Chivay, where we will have lunch and time to rest.  Overnight in the Colca Valley.

Optional: In the afternoon, you may visit the nearby La Calera hot springs for a relaxing soak.

Day 07

Tour to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint - bus to Puno

After early breakfast, we will head to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint, this is one of the best place to observe the majestic flight of the Andean condor and be amazed by deep of the Colca Canyon.
On the way back to Chivay, we will pass through the traditional Andean villages of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma and Yanque, We will also stop at scenic viewpoints such as Antahuilque and Choquetico, where you can admire pre-Inca agricultural spectacular landscapes.

After lunch, we’ll continue by transportation to the city of Puno,  this journey take approximately 5 hours. Upon arrival, a representative will meet you at the bus station and take you to your hotel.

Day 08

Tour to the Islands of Titicaca Lake 2 Days

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel to begin an unforgettable journey on the highest navigable lake  in the world. Traveling by speedboat, we will head to the floating Uros Islands (3,812 m / 12,507 ft), home to communities who have lived on the lake since ancient times, these small islands are built entirely from totora reeds, this is an aquatic plant also used to made their homes and traditional boats.
After exploring Uros, we will continue by boat to Amantani Island, the largest island on the Peruvian side of the lake, where a local family will warmly welcome you. The rest of the day will be spent sharing in their customs, participating in daily activities, and visiting the sacred site of Pachatata. From here, you’ll enjoy a spectacular sunset over Lake Titicaca. Overnight stay at a family home on Amantani.
 

Day 09

Amantani Island - Taquile - Puno

After a typical breakfast with our host family, we will say goodbye to continue our journey by boat to the island of Taquile. This Quechua village is distinguished by its strong community organization and its extraordinary textile art, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
We will enjoy a typical lunch on the island and then take a light hike along trails with breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Titicaca. In the afternoon, we will return

Day 10

Scenic journey to Cusco 

   Estimated schedule: 7:00 to 17:30 hrs

  Distance from Cusco to Puno: 387 km via paved road

At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the bus station to begin one of the most fascinating journey from Titicaca lake to Cusco through a scenic route with tourist stops along the way. During the tour, you will notice how the landscape changes starting in the highland plateau and descending into inter-Andean valleys surrounded by increasingly imposing mountains, you can also appreciate villages with farmers and camelid herders in their natural environment.
The first is Pukara, at 2 hours drive from Puno, here you will visit its lithic museum, Pucará was the first regional population in the Titicaca during the Late Formative Period (500 BC-200 AD), which provides important information about the origins of the Andean civilization in the highlands. Continuing our trip after approximately 3 hours we will visit Raqchi, an impressive archaeological site that houses dozens of qolca or warehouses as well as the temple of the God Wiracocha (the lord) of monumental dimensions, this god is one of the oldest in the Andean mythology. Already approaching the city of Cusco we will make the last stop at the Chapel of Andahuaylillas, known as the "Sistine Chapel of America", is one of the most beautiful examples of popular Andean religious art, this chapel is endowed with a profuse ornamentation which makes it a real gem. Finally, around 17:00 hrs we arrive to the imperial city of Cusco and immediately you will be transferred to your hotel
 

Day 11

Cusco City tour

   Estimated schedule: 7:00 to 17:30 hrs

Pick-up from your hotel, and we begin to explore the ancient capital of the Inca Empire.
Our first stop will be the Qoricancha Temple, also known as the Temple of the Sun of the Incas, located near the Plaza de Armas. Here, you will admire the refined Inca architecture, with its impressive walls of perfectly fitted stone, as well as a valuable collection of paintings from the Cusco School.
Next, we will head out of the city by transport, enjoying panoramic views of Cusco. There, we will visit the Fortress of Sacsayhuamán (3,700 m.a.s.l.), an imposing construction with gigantic limestone blocks assembled with astounding precision.
We will continue on to the archaeological site of Qenqo (3,580 m.a.s.l.), Pukapukara (3,680 m.a.s.l.), and Tambomachay, ancient Inca religious sites, each with structures from that era, each playing an important religious and political role in its time.
We will end the tour with the return to the city of Cusco.

Day 12

Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour

This day begins with a pick-up from your hotel to head to the highlights of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop, just an hour away, will be the stunning Pisac archaeological site, where you'll be amazed by the perfectly built agricultural terraces and palaces perched on the mountain. Then, we will descend to the charming colonial town of Pisac, where you will have  time to purchase water, snacks, or local souvenirs before continuing our journey.

After an hour driving, following the course of the Urubamba River, we will arrive in the town of Urubamba, where you can enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. After that, we will continue our tour to the Ollantaytambo Fortress, the living Inca city and gateway to Machu Picchu. Here, you will explore the magnificent temples and chambers, all built with massive granite stone blocks.

After exploring the Sacred Valley, we head to the Ollantaytambo train station, where you'll board a train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town), according to your scheduled departure. Upon arrival in Machu Picchu Pueblo, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can rest and prepare for the next day’s exciting visit to Machu Picchu.

Day 13

Machu Picchu Tour

   Entrance slots from 6:00 a.m. to 15:00 hrs

According to your reserved entry time for Machu Picchu, you will board the bus for a 30-minute ride to the top of the mountain, where begin the guided tour of this magnificent site.  You will be accompanied by your personal tour guide, who will share the fascinating history of the site as you explore spectacular viewpoints, ancient religious temples, ceremonial plazas, and original Inca pathways - all surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding mountains.

The guided tour lasts a little over two hours. At the end of the visit, you’ll take the bus back down to Machu Picchu Pueblo, where you’ll have time to rest and enjoy lunch before boarding your return train to Cusco or sacred valley.

At the scheduled time, you’ll begin the return journey by train and vehicle to Cusco, arriving at your hotel approximately four hours later.

Day 14

Rainbow Mountain

  Difficulty Level: Moderate

We will start early, picking you up from your hotel to head south of Cusco. During the nearly two-hour journey, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Andean landscapes and small villages along the way.

Our first stop will be in Cusipata village (3,310 m.a.s.l.), where we will have an energizing breakfast. Then, we will continue by vehicle for another hour and 30 minutes until we reach Kayra Wiri (4,711 m.a.s.l.), the starting point of our hike.

From there, we will begin a two-hour hike to Rainbow Mountain (5,200 m.a.s.l.). Along the trail, you will be surrounded by majestic mountains, colorful landscapes, and impressive snow-capped peaks such as Apu Ausangate (6,384 m.a.s.l.). You will also encounter local villagers who preserve their traditions and wear vibrant, multicolored clothing. Throughout the journey, you will have the chance to see alpacas and llamas curiously observing visitors.

Once at the summit, you will have time to take in the stunning scenery. After this unforgettable experience, we will hike back for two hours to the starting point. Then, we will continue by transport to Cusipata, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch before returning to Cusco.

Note: There are two routes to reach Rainbow Mountain: one through Pitumarca and another via Cusipata. The main difference between them is the travel time by vehicle and the hiking distance.

  Cusipata Route: The total round trip travel time by vehicle is approximately 6 hours. However, the hike is longer, covering 7 km and taking around 4 hours (round trip).

  Pitumarca Route: This route requires 1 additional hour of travel time compared to Pitumarca, but the hike is shorter, with a 3.5 km trail and an estimated duration of less than 3 hours in total.
Both options offer breathtaking landscapes and the chance to enjoy an unforgettable experience. On a private tour, you can choose the route that best suits your fitness level and preferences. However, for group tours, the Pitumarca route is prioritized.

Day 15

Tambopata natural Reserve 

  Approximate Schedule: 4:30 to 16:30

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado, upon arrival reception in the airport and transfer to the lodge by bus and boat. Once in the lodge the manager will welcome and will give you a brief orientation about the lodge and the safety tips. By the evening after dinner, you will have a night tour searching the caimans on the river shore. Overnight at Lodge

Estimated motor boat trip : 2 1/2 hours.

Day 16

Visit a Lake – Canopy Tower – Ethnobotanical tour 

  Approximate Schedule: 4:30 to 16:30

very early after breakfast, we visit the oxbow lake near our lodge for a ride in a catamaran searching the giant otters, caimans, and a variety of birds. Then visit the Canopy Tower 25 meters high equipped with a very secure platform from where we have a panoramic view of the Amazon forest and its diversity of birds like Toucans, Macaws, Birds of Prey, and others. After lunch we will continue along a path to learn about the diversity of plants and trees used by local people some with medicinal purposes like Cat’s Claw, Para Para, Ajo Sacha and others. Then return to the lodge for dinner and finally have a brief explanation about the Amazon forest importance and its conservation. Overnight in Lodge.

Day 17

Parrot & Mammal Clay Lick – Brazilian Nut Plantation – Night Walk 

  Approximate Schedule: 4:30 to 16:30

We’ll start very early with a visit to a macaw clay lick a place frequented by different species of parrots and parakeets and macaws gathered for ingesting clay to one side of the river for which we recommend that you bring binoculars to see with more detail the birds. Then we have a lunch at the lodge and after a brief rest, we will have a hike toward the brazilian nut plantation to learn about the production and harvesting of this product. Afterwards we will visit the mammal clay lick to have the opportunity to see some mammals such as peccaries, deer, capybaras and others. By the evening after dinner you will have the option to go for a walk around the forest to see the nightlife of some animals, insects and amphibians. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 18

Farewell to the jungle

Last morning at your lodge, then transfer toward Puerto Maldonado airport for your flight to Lima, this will be your last day in Peru, so you will rest and prepare for your international flight. Night at hotel.
