The 7 Color Mountain is a spectacular place and is located in the Vilcanota mountain range near the highest mountain in Cusco the apu Ausangate (6384 m) . Its striking natural coloration of ocher, purple and yellowish white reds is due to the presence of stones and minerals sedimented thanks to the erosive action of wind and water.

During your adventure through the Mountain of Colors you will enjoy a typical landscape of the Andes surrounded by streams, streams and mountains, you will also have the opportunity to get up close to the local people dedicated to the care of their llamas and alpacas.

Cusco - Quesiuno - Mountain of / Colors - Cusco

  • 3:30 pick up from your hotey transfer to Quesiuno (3 hours) starting point of the walk.

Day 1: Cusco - Quesiuno - Mountain of Seven Colors - Cusco.

Our adventure will begin with the pick up 03:00 am from your hotels in a tourist transport. To then head south of Cusco passing through different villages until Quesiuno starting point of our trek (3 hours by bus) and where a comfortable Andean breakfast awaits us.

After our breakfast, we will start our walk for 3 and a half until the mountain of Colors (Vinicunca) . During the tour the panorama is surrounded by mountains, small streams where you can see herds of llamas and alpacas. The landscape is typical of the Andean puna.

Once arrived at the Mountain of colors we will have enough time for the photographs, in addition there we will enjoy our refreshment, while our view delights with the spectacular landscape of the mountains. Then we will start the return walk to Quesiuno where a comforting lunch awaits us. Finally we will return to Cusco arriving at approximately 19:00 hrs

Note : The walk to the mountain is a difficult level because of the height. There is also the option of renting horses to avoid fatigue.
