Day 1: Arrival in Lima

  • Transfer from the airport to your hotel
  • Free day (optional: city tour)
  • Overnight at hotel in Lima

Day 2: Arequipa – City tour

  • Transfer out hotel – Lima airport
  • Flight to Arequipa
  • Transfer from the airport to your hotel in Arequipa
  • Arequipa City tour: Downtown of Arequipa, Yanahuara lookout (half day)
  • Overnight at hotel in Arequipa

Day 3: Colca Canyon 2D/ 1N

  • Bus journey to Colca through Pampa Cañahuas Reserve
  • Thermal baths in Chivay (optional)
  • Overnight at hotel in Colca

Day 4: Lookout  Cruz del Condor

  • Bus journey toward the Cruz del Condor lookout to appreciate the flight of the Andean condor
  • Return to Arequipa by bus
  • Overnight at hotel in Arequipa

Day 5: Arrival in Cusco

  • Transfer hotel – airport in Arequipa
  • Flight to Cusco
  • Transfer airport – hotel in Cusco
  • Free day (optional City tour)
  • Overnight at hotel in Cusco

Day 6: Sacred Valley Of The Incas

  • Sacred valley tour: Pisaq, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero (full day)
  • Buffet lunch at Sacred Valley
  • Overnight at hotel in Cusco

Day 7 to Day 11: Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu 5D/4N

  • 03 nights camping; 01 night accomodation in Aguas Calientes town

Day 11: Tour en Machu Picchu

  • Return to Cusco by train and Bus 
  • Overnight at hotel in Cusco

Day 12: Departure Day

  • Transfer hotel / airport
  • Flight to Lima

Day 1: Arrival in Lima

Upon arrival you will be picked up from the airport and brought to your hotel (optional city tour). Overnight in Lima

Day 2: Arequipa – City tour (B)

Transfer to the airport to take your flight to Arequipa City. Upon arrival to the airport, we will transfer you to your hotel. The afternoon city tour will visit the most striking attractions of the city such as the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Jesuit church. Additionally, we will visit the lookouts of Yanahuara and Carmen Alto to appreciate the beautiful city of Arequipa flanked by impressive volcanoes. Overnight in Arequipa

Day 3: Excursion to the Colca Canyon 2D/ 1N (B)(L)

After breakfast at your hotel, we will begin the trip to Colca Canyon. We will drive through Yura, a natural reserve of Canaguas, where we will see herds of vicuñas and alpacas grazing in Andean wetlands. Also, we will pass by the highest point, known as the Mirador de los Andes at 4800m/15748ft, which has a spectacular view of the volcanoes. From there we will descend towards the village of Chivay for lunch and then go to our designated hotel. In the afternoon we will visit La Calera hot springs (optional). Overnight in Chivay

Day 4: Lookout Mirador del Condor (B)

An early day. After breakfast we will start the trip toward the Mirador Cruz del Condor to see Colca Canyon, which is considered to be one of the world’s deepest canyons. From this lookout we will observe the flight of the majestic Andean condor only a few meters away. On the way back to Chivay we will pass by the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma,Yanque, and the lookouts of Antahuilque and Choquetico. After lunch Return to Arequipa. Overnight in Arequipa

Day 5: Arrival in Cusco (B)

Transfer to the airport to take your flight to Cusco City and upon arrival,  we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. We recommended that you drink a coca leaf infusion and rest for the first hours to better acclimatize to the altitude. This day you will have free day to relax or explore Cusco city (optional city tour). Overnight in Cusco.

Day 6: Sacred Valley of the Incas (8:30 – 18:30) (B)(L)

Pick up from the hotel at 08:30 am to be transported in a private vehicle towards the archaeological site of Pisac, a great place for its outstanding agricultural terraces and palaces erected neatly over the mountain. Then we will descend towards its famous handicraft market full of a variety of colorful products that will delight our senses. Next we will drive to the town of Urubamba, where a delicious lunch will be waiting for us. Then we will continue our trip by bus to the fortress of Ollantaytambo to see its magnificent rooms and temples built with enormous blocks of granite. When we return to Cusco, we will visit the picturesque village of Chinchero to appreciate the remains of the Incan king, Tupac Yupanqui’s palace and its beautiful colonial church. In addition, we will have the opportunity to visit textile workshops showcasing the mastery of the Andean weavers. Overnight in Cusco

Day 7: Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu 5D/4N  (L)(D)

We’ll start very early, and we will pick you up from your hotel at 05:00am, to go in our private transport to the village of Mollepata (2900m./9514 ft ). Once there we will have a short stop for breakfast (not included) , stock up on some supplies and then get ready to start the hike along with our support team of chefs, muleteers and mules. The first sections will take us approximately 04 hours until the place of Sayllapata (3200m./10498 ft), where we will have lunch and a short break to restart our hike up to our first campsite in Soraypampa (3850m./12631 ft) arriving at 17:30 hours approximately. During our tour we will appreciate the beautiful views of the snow capped peaks of the Andes and the Apurimac river valley.

  • Distance: 16km

Day 8: Soraypampa – Salkantay Pass – Chaullay – Collpapampa  (B)(L)(D)

This is the most challenging day of the trek but also the most spectacular. We will ascend to Salkantay Pass (4600m./15091 ft) surrounded by typical environment of the highlands and breathtaking snow capped peaks like Salkantay (wild mountain) with its 6300 m./20547 feet high. Once you reach the Salkantay pass,we wil descend by 02 hours to the place of Wayraqmachay where we will enjoy a delicious lunch and a short break, and then keep descending and get deep into the cloud forest until to our campsite Collpapampa.

  • Distance: 18 km.

Day 9: Collpapampa – La Playa (B)(L)(D)

Very early we will start our journey along the valley of Collpapampa by plains and gentle trails through dense vegetation with plantations of fruit trees and coffee plantations, to arrive in the afternoon to our campsite La Playa (2400m./7864 ft) which is a small village with shops and basic services. If you are interested in visiting the Hot springs of Santa Teresa let it know to your guide in advance to organize it.

  • Distance: 15 km.

Day 10: La Playa – Llactapata – Hidroeléctrica – Aguas Calientes  (B)(L)(D)

This day, our walk will start ascending by an old Inca trail up to the archaeological site of Llactapata (2650 m./8694 ft) where we will appreciate from another angle the Citadel of Machu Picchu. And then we will descend to the place of hydroelectric. And finally we will walk for about 2 hours to Aguas Calientes town following the train railway. Overnight in Aguas Calientes

  • Distance: 15 km.

Day 11: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu-Cusco (B)

After an early breakfast in the hotel, we will take the bus of ascent (30min) to see the dawn in the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and then start the guided tour (2 1/2 hrs) through the main temples, plazas and religious sites of this enigmatic city. At the end you will have free time to explore the site on your own.  At a scheduled time (to be announced), we will descend back to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and finally we will return to Cusco by train and by bus.

Day 12: Departure Day (B)

At the scheduled time transfer to the airport to take your flight back to Lima.
