Day 01: Arrival to Lima

Day 03: Paracas Reserve and Ballestas Island

Day 04: Nazca Lines

  • Bus to Nazca.
  • Flight over the Nazca Lines.
  • Visit an ancient cemetery of Chauchillas.

Day 05: Flight to Titicaca Lake

  • Transfer to the airport for your flight to Puno.

Day 09: Full day tour to Machu Picchu

Day 10: Tambopata Natural Reserve 4D/3N

  • Catamaran ride on a Lake.
  • Visit the Canopy Tower.

  • Excursion to the parrot and mammal clay lick.

  • Transfer to the airport.
  • Return flight to Lima.

Detailed itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Lima

Upon arrival in Lima, reception in the airport and transfer to your hotel, free day to relax (optional city tour). Overnight in Lima.

Day 02: Walking tour in Lima

Pick up from your hotel to go toward the Historical Center of Lima by our private transport. Once arrive, we will start a gentle walking through charming streets and squares, such as: San Martín Square and there you will visit the Hotel Bolívar, which is the oldest in Lima.

You will know the Jiron de la Union, a pedestrian street where there are many shops, old buildings of the early 17th century, like the house "Torre Tagle" where you will see the most beautiful balcony of Lima, you also see Saint Peter's church which was built in the 17th century next you will know our National Library. Continuing with the our walk we will reach a local market where you will see local products such as different types of meat, exotic fruits, vegetable stands and you will also see different types of olives, cheeses, typical beverages, fresh and natural juices. We will continue towards the main square of Lima. This is the perfect place to hear about the history of Lima, here enjoy the Cathedral, the Government Palace where you can enjoy the change of the Guard, the Lima City Hall and the Archbishop's Palace.

Then we will continue to the Monastery of San Francisco very popular for its impressive catacombs, this was built in the 17th century. Finally, you will visit the City Wall Park, where you will learn the history of pirates and enjoy a beautiful view of the colorful houses of the Rimac district.

End of the tour at your hotel or at one recommendable restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious lunch.

Day 03: Paracas Reserve and Ballestas Island (L)

At 3:45 am Transfer to the bus station to board our transportation to Paracas. The journey takes 3 hours and once there, you will be assisted by our staff at the Paracas bus station to transfer you to your respective hotel.

At 7:45 am, we will begin our excursion to the Ballestas Islands, on the way we will observe the enigmatic Candelabro geoglyph, then continue towards the islands. These islands are rock formations that give refuge to an important fauna composed of sea lions, marine Humboldt penguins (Spheniscus humboldti), and seabirds such as the Piquero, Guanay and Zarcillos, finally we will return to Paracas to continue the next tour.

At 11:00 am. beginning of our excursion to the Paracas National Reserve, visiting the modern interpretation center to know the richness and diversity that has this natural reserve, then we will walk along the beach to spot birds and visit the viewpoints of the red desert and yellow with breathtaking views of the coastal cliffs, also visit the Yumaque, Red and Lagunilla beaches where you can have lunch (not included) and time to enjoy its waters, and return to Paracas. Overnight in Paracas.

Day 04: Nazca Lines (B)

Transfer to the bus station to take the next bus to Nazca. After 3 hours we will arrive in Nazca, where you will be greeted at the bus station and transferred to the airport to visit the Nazca Lines.

The tour starts with watching an informational video about the theories that attempt to explain the nature of these enigmatic figures. Immediately afterward, we will take a flight overlooking the Nazca lines for 30 minutes. At this time we will appreciate 12 figures (The Astronaut, monkey, condor, hummingbird, etc.). At the end of the flight over the Nazca Lines, we will continue the tour toward the pre-Hispanic Chauchilla cemetery and then return to the town of Nazca to have a lunch and then board the bus back to Lima in 6 hours you will be back at your hotel. Overnight in Lima.

Day 05: Flight to Titicaca Lake

This day we will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Titicaca Lake, the highest navigable in the world, you will depart from the coast located on the 500m and in an hour you will be in the andes at 3800 m high in Juliaca, known as the winds city. There you will be met with your guide and driver who will transfer you to your hotel in Puno, on the way you will visit an old pre-Hispanic cemetery known as the Sillustani Chullpas, and these are huge funerary towers built with the finest Inca architecture and lie in a beautiful lookout point towards Lake Humayo. Rest and night at your hotel in Puno.

Day 06 Full Day Tour to the Islands of Titicaca Lake (B)(L)

Pick up from the hotel at 7:30 am to start the excursion to Titicaca Lake. In a fast boat, we will visit the floating island of Uros (3812m/15787ft), a village dedicated to fishing and hunting that has inhabited the lake since ancient times. These floating islands are made of totora reeds, an aquatic plant that is also used to make their homes and reed boats. We will then continue the trip by boat to Taquile Island, a Quechua village that developed a special social organization based on collective work. This island is known for having a wonderful textile art recognized by UNESCO as living heritage. Here we will have a typical lunch and then walk through its trails with spectacular views of Titicaca Lake. Finally we will return to Puno. Overnight in Puno.

Day 07: Flight to Cusco

Transfer to the airport to take your flight to Cusco City and upon arrival. We will pick you up from and transfer you to your hotel. We recommended that you drink a coca leaf infusion and rest for the first hours to better acclimatize to the altitude.

In the afternoon you can walk around the historical center, its narrow streets, plazas and markets, and you will see that in every corner there are a lot remains of a glorious past. Enjoy a coffee in one of the many restaurants in its square with its beautiful balconies, at night don’t miss visit the colorful San Blas neighborhood. Night at your hotel.

Day 08: Sacred Valley of the Incas (8:30 – 18:30) (B) (L)

Pick up from the hotel at 08:30 am to be transported in a private vehicle towards the archaeological site of Pisac, a great place for its outstanding agricultural terraces and palaces erected neatly over the mountain. Then we will descend towards its famous handicraft market full of a variety of colorful products that will delight our senses. Next we will drive to the town of Urubamba, where a delicious lunch will be waiting for us. Then we will continue our trip by bus to the fortress of Ollantaytambo to see its magnificent rooms and temples built with enormous blocks of granite. When we return to Cusco, we will visit the picturesque village of Chinchero to appreciate the remains of the Incan king, Tupac Yupanqui’s palace and its beautiful colonial church. In addition, we will have the opportunity to visit textile workshops showcasing the mastery of the Andean weavers. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 09: Machu Picchu full day

Very early transfer from your hotel to the train station, where we will board the train service to Aguas Calientes, a town that is located at the foot of Machu Picchu mountain (2000m/6561ft). During the train journey you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains and valleys that surround the train with spectacular views of the Urubamba valley. Once in Aguas Calientes, we will take the bus of ascent (30min) to the Inca citadel and then start the guided tour (2 1/2 hrs) through the main temples, plazas and religious sites of this enigmatic city. At the end you will have free time to explore the site on your own. At a scheduled time (to be announced), we will descend back to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and finally we will return to Cusco by train and by bus. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 10: Tambopata natural Reserve 4D/ 3N - Night Walk (BL)(D)

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado, upon arrival reception in the airport and transfer to the lodge by bus and boat. Once in the lodge the manager will welcome and will give you a brief orientation about the lodge and the safety tips. By the evening after dinner, you will have a night tour searching the caimans on the river shore. Overnight at Lodge

  • Estimated motor boat trip : 2 1/2 hours.

Day 11: Visit a Lake – Canopy Tower – Ethnobotanical tour (B)(L)(D)

very early after breakfast, we visit the oxbow lake near our lodge for a ride in a catamaran searching the giant otters, caimans, and a variety of birds. Then visit the Canopy Tower 25 meters high equipped with a very secure platform from where we have a panoramic view of the Amazon forest and its diversity of birds like Toucans, Macaws, Birds of Prey, and others. After lunch we will continue along a path to learn about the diversity of plants and trees used by local people some with medicinal purposes like Cat’s Claw, Para Para, Ajo Sacha and others. Then return to the lodge for dinner and finally have a brief explanation about the Amazon forest importance and its conservation. Overnight in Lodge.

Day 12: Parrot & Mammal Clay Lick – Brazilian Nut Plantation – Night Walk (B)(L)(D)

We’ll start very early with a visit to a macaw clay lick a place frequented by different species of parrots and parakeets and macaws gathered for ingesting clay to one side of the river for which we recommend that you bring binoculars to see with more detail the birds. Then we have a lunch at the lodge and after a brief rest, we will have a hike toward the brazilian nut plantation to learn about the production and harvesting of this product. Afterwards we will visit the mammal clay lick to have the opportunity to see some mammals such as peccaries, deer, capybaras and others. By the evening after dinner you will have the option to go for a walk around the forest to see the nightlife of some animals, insects and amphibians. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 13: Return to Lima (B)

Last morning at your lodge, then transfer toward Puerto Maldonado airport for your flight to Lima, this will be your last day in Peru, so you will rest and prepare for your international flight. Night at hotel.

Day 14: International flight

Departure from Peru, at announced time transfer to the airport.
