This program invites you to explore the Cusco colonial, with its civil and religious monuments where you will see the most beautiful artworks developed between the 17TH and 18th centuries. Also during your itinerary, you will visit the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas and the wonder of the world, Machu Picchu.

Day 01: Arrival in Cusco – Walking tour

  • Transfer from the  airport to your hotel
  • Cusco Walking Tour: Cathedral, Qoricancha, San Pedro Market, San Blas Neighborhood (half day/afternoon)
  • Overnight at hotel in Cusco

Day 02: Sacred Valley of the Incas

  • Sacred Valley Tour: Pisaq, Ollantaytambo (full day)
  • Train journey to Aguas Calientes town
  • Overnight in Aguas Calientes

Day 03: Tour in Machu Picchu

  • Guided tour in Machu Picchu
  • Return to Cusco by train and bus
  • Overnight at hotel in Cusco

Day 04: Tour Baroque Route

  • Baroque Route: Andahuaylillas Chapel, Huaro Chapel and Pikillacta (half day)
  • Overnight at hotel in Cusco

Day 05: Departure

  • Transfer to the airport at the scheduled time

Day 01: Arrival to Cusco – City walking tour (14:00 – 18:00)

Upon arrival in Cusco we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. We recommended that you drink a coca leaf infusion and rest for the first hours to better acclimatize to the altitude.

In the afternoon we will start the City walking tour, an exceptional way to get to know Cusco, you will walk in their narrow streets and colonial squares to visit Cusco’s remarkable historical center, such as Ancient Temple of the Sun Coricancha, the imposing cathedral of Cusco and its precious works of Colonial art, the neighborhood of San Blas very popular for its narrow streets and blue balconies that are home to many recognized artist by their relationship with beautiful galleries, and the local market of San Pedro that will amaze you with the variety of  products full of colors and aromas. Overnight in Cusco

Day 02: Sacred Valley of the Incas (8:30 – 16:00) (B)(L)

Pick up from the hotel at 08:30am to be transported in a private vehicle towards the archaeological site of Pisac, a great place for its outstanding agricultural terraces and palaces erected neatly over the mountain. Then we will descend towards its famous handicraft market full of a variety of colorful products that will delight our senses. Next we will drive to the town of Urubamba, where a delicious lunch will be waiting for us. Then we will continue our trip by bus to the fortress of Ollantaytambo to see its magnificent rooms and temples built with enormous blocks of granite.

By the evening we will take the train to Aguas Calientes town (2hrs) located at the foot of the Inca marvel Machu Picchu. Transfer from the train station to your hotel and meeting with your tour guide who will give you a brief information for the visit of the following day. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Day 03: Tour in Machu Picchu (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, we will take the bus of ascent (30min) to see the dawn in the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and then start the guided tour (2 1/2 hrs) through the main temples, plazas and religious sites of this enigmatic city. At the end you will have free time to explore the site on your own.  At a scheduled time (to be announced), we will descend back to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and finally we will return to Cusco by train and by bus. Overnight in Cusco

Day 04: Tour Baroque Route (9:00 – 14:00) (B)

For this adventure we will travel to the Baroque Route, which joins the most beautiful examples of Andean popular religious art inside the chapels and churches of the 17th and 18th centuries, which are located in the southern part of Cusco. Among these churches include: the Temple of Andahuaylillas (known as the Sistine Chapel of America), and the Temple of Huaro. Each one shows its amazing altars, painting murals and other components used for evangelization. We will also visit the archeological site of Pikillacta, which has remains of an ancient planned city by the Wari culture developed among the VI – VII centuries.  Overnight in Cusco

Day 05: Departure Day (B)

Transfer from your hotel to the airport at the scheduled time.
