Inca Trail

Inca Trail

The famous Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is considered one of the most spectacular trekking routes in the world. This 4 days hiking starts at km 82 of the train railway in the town of Piscacucho. The hiking follow cobbled paths, tunnels and Inca settlements built along 43 kilometers surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery to descend into the Amazon rainforest, and enjoy a spectacular view of Machu Picchu from the Sun Gate (Inti Punku). Come and enjoy these 4 wonderful days in the Andes but if you have a short time, there is an another available option is the Inca Trail of 2 days.

For those who wish to pursue this adventure we recommend booking well in advance because the Peruvian government regulates entry to the Inca Trail to protect and preserve this important legacy of our ancestors allowing only 500 people per day including support staff such as guides, cooks and porters which reduces the number of visitors to just 200. The Inca Trail route is open from March to January, February is closed for maintenance.

Salkantay Trek

Salkantay Trekking

Salkantay Trekking

The Salkantay trekking is an excellent alternative to the classic Inca Trail and is without a doubt one of the best ways to reach the magical Citadel of Machu Picchu. The hiking takes 5 unforgettable days where nature offers spectacular views of the Vilcabamba range standing out the impressive snow-capped mountain of Salkantay (Wild Mountain) with its 6271 meters, to then descend into the high jungle with its dense forests and fertile valleys full of life. And finally enter by the backdoor to Machu Picchu.
In 2007 the National Geographic Adventure magazine considered the Salkantay route among the 25 best walks in the world.

Lares Trek

Lares Trekking

Lares Trekking

The Lares trek is a worthy route for the adventurous who want more direct contact with local people and their customs. The route runs through the Peruvian Andes offering spectacular mountain scenarios covered with snow, lakes and Andean valleys inhabited by indigenous people living there for hundreds of years, showing all its cultural wealth inherited from their ancestors.

The Lares trek is far from conventional hikings and during the last 500 years has changed very little. Its beautiful scenery and remote villages have remained untouched by tourism and still retain their authenticity. This unforgettable adventure invites you to experience the andean life through its people and customs.

The duration of the hiking can take 3 to 4 days plus one day visiting Machu Picchu. Packages are usually 4 or 5 days including the train ride and a visit to Machu Picchu.
