Day 01: Arrival in Cusco – Walking tour

 Day 01: Arrival to Cusco – City walking tour (14:00 – 18:00)

Upon arrival in Cusco we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. We recommended that you drink a coca leaf infusion and rest for the first hours to better acclimatize to the altitude.

In the afternoon we will start the City walking tour, an exceptional way to get to know Cusco, you will walk in their narrow streets and colonial squares to visit Cusco’s remarkable historical center, such as Ancient Temple of the Sun Coricancha, the imposing cathedral of Cusco and its precious works of Colonial art, the neighborhood of San Blas very popular for its narrow streets and blue balconies that are home to many recognized artist by their relationship with beautiful galleries, and the local market of San Pedro that will amaze you with the variety of  products full of colors and aromas. Overnight in Cusco

Day 02: Tour Four Inca Shrines  (9:00 to 13:00 / 14:00 to 18:00) (B)

This guided tour will take us to visit the nearby archaeological sites of Cusco, including the formidable fortress of Sacsayhuaman built during the XV century and the enigmatic places of Qenqo, Tambomachay and Puca Pucara. During the tour we will have amazing views of Cuzco valley and nice green áreas to walk and relax.  Overnight in Cusco

Day 03: Sacred Valley Tour (8:30 to 16:00) (B)(L)

Pick up from your hotel at 08:30am to go to Chinchero, which is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and mountains. Here we can find remains of the Inca Tupac Yupanqui’s palace and a beautiful colonial church. Then we will continue to the circular terraces of Moray, which were probably an agricultural research station. Next, we will travel to Maras salt mines with more than 3000 salt pools, used since pre Inca time until today. After we will drive to Urubamba town, where a delicious lunch will be waiting for us. Finally, we will travel to Ollantaytambo, which is another monumental work of Inca architecture.

At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to your respective hotel. Overnight in Sacred Valley.

Day 04: Tour in Machu Picchu (B)

Early day, we will go to the train station to board the train service to Aguas Calientes, a town that is located at the foot of Machu Picchu Mountain (2000m/6561ft). During the train journey you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains and valleys that surround the train with spectacular views of the Urubamba valley. Once in Aguas Calientes, we will take the bus of ascent (30min) to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and then start the guided tour (2 1/2 hrs) through the main temples, plazas and religious sites of this enigmatic city. At the end you will have free time to explore the site on your own.  At a scheduled time (to be announced), we will descend back to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and finally we will return to Cusco by train and by bus.  Overnight in Cusco

Day 05 :Tour to the south valley of Cusco (9:00 – 14:00) (B)

We headed to the south of Cusco city to visit Andahuaylillas, known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas, because its profuse interior decoration with mural paintings and religious altars decorated with gold, makes this chapel one of the most beautiful examples of Andean popular religious art. And then continue toward Pikillacta an old citadel of the Wari culture developed between the years 750 AC, and back to the city of Cusco we will visit the Inca site of Tipon, where visitors can appreciate the beautiful agricultural terraces and the hydraulic engineering developed by the ancient Peruvians.  Overnight in Cusco

Day 06: Departure Day (B)

According to your departure flight you will be transferred to the Airport.
