Day 1: Arrival in Lima

Upon arrival in Lima, reception in the airport and transfer to your hotel, free day to relax (optional: City tour). Overnight in Lima

Day 2: Cusco – Walking tour (14:00 – 18:00) (B)

At scheduled time transfer to the airport to take your flight to Cusco City. Upon arrival in Cusco,  reception in the aiport and transfer you to your hotel. We recommended that you drink a coca leaves infusion and rest for the first hours to better acclimatize to the altitude.

By the afternoon our guided tour of the city, includes visit to the local market of San Pedro, that will amaze you with the variety of their products full of colors and aromas, the Cusco Cathedral  and its exquisite colonial art work, continue in Koricancha the sun Temple, and finally the neighborhood of San Blas very popular for its narrow streets and blue balconies that are home of many recognized artist by their trajectory with beautiful galleries. Overnight in Cusco

 Day 3: Sacred Valley of the Incas (8:30 – 18:30) (B)(L)

Pick up from the hotel at 08:30 am to be transported in a private vehicle towards the archaeological site of Pisac, a great place for its outstanding agricultural terraces and palaces erected neatly over the mountain. Then we will descend towards its famous handicraft market full of a variety of colorful products that will delight our senses. Next we will drive to the town of Urubamba, where a delicious lunch will be waiting for us. Later we will continue our trip by bus to the fortress of Ollantaytambo to see its magnificent rooms and temples built with enormous blocks of granite. Finally we will visit the picturesque village of Chinchero to appreciate the remains of the Incan king, Tupac Yupanqui’s palace and its beautiful colonial church, in addition, we will have the opportunity to visit textile workshops showcasing the mastery of the Andean weavers. Overnight in Cusco

Day 4: Cusco – Huaran – Cancha Cancha (L)(D)

We left early from Cusco in a private transportation by 2 hours driving toward the small town of Huaran (3000m./9842 ft), starting point of the trek, and meeting with our support team (muleteers and mules) that will carry our camping equipment. The trek is an ascent of 5 hours which is going through a forest of queuñas a native tree. As we move the landscape change gradually to give place to the mountains and the beautiful highlands inhabited by communities of herders and farmers. During the trek, we will have our lunch and then we will continue until our first campsite,Cancha Cancha (3800m./12467 ft) .

Day 5: Cancha Cancha – Laguna Queuñaqocha (B)(L)(D)

After a fortifying breakfast we will begin our ascent toward the Pachacutec Pass (4400 m./14435 ft) from where it is possible to appreciate the stunning view of the snowcapped peaks of the Andes as the Colque Cruz and Sirijuani, also beautiful Andean lagoons. After a brief rest enjoying the landscape, we will descend to have our lunch next to a beautiful lagoon and then continue our walk through the community of Kiswarani to see its beautiful textile art and customs. Finally we will ascend to our camp next to Queuñaqocha Lake (3900 m./12795 ft).

Day 6: Laguna Queuñaqocha  – Lares – Aguas Calientes town (B)(L)

After a good rest we continue our hike toward the second Pass of Willkiccasa (4100 m./13451 ft) and enjoy the panoramic view of the snowcapped peaks of the Andes. After a brief rest and recover our breath, we descend toward the Cuncani village to walk by its fertile lands until the Hot Springs of Lares (3200 m./10498 ft). Once there we will have a delicious lunch and a time to give ourselves a dip in its relaxing waters. Finally in the afternoon we will take our tourist transport to go to Ollantaytambo station and board our train to Aguas Calientes (2040 m./6692 ft)

Day 7: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco (B)

After an early breakfast in the hotel, we will take the bus of ascent (30min) to see the dawn in the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and then start the guided tour (2 1/2 hrs) through the main temples, plazas and religious sites of this enigmatic city. At the end you will have free time to explore the site on your own.  At a scheduled time (to be announced), we will descend back to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and finally we will return to Cusco by train and by bus.  Overnight in Cusco

Day 8: Free day

Day at leisure to relax in Cusco. Overnight

Day 9: The Sun Route Cusco -Puno (full day) (B)(L)

At the scheduled time (to be announced), we will go to the bus station to take the bus to Puno city, on the way we will be able to see the beautiful sceneries of the Peruvian valleys and highlands. The highlands consist of small towns with farmers, herders and camelids. On our way to Puno, we will visit more Andean landmarks, such as: the Andahuaylillas chapel (which is one of the most beautiful examples of Andean popular religious art), Raqchi (the temple of Wiracocha god with really  monumental dimensions), and Pukara (an important litic museum in Puno). Upon arrival in Puno, you will be transferred from the bus station to your hotel. Overnight in Puno.

Day 10: Tour Titicaca Islands 2D/1N (B)(L)

Pick up from the hotel at 7:30 am to start the excursion to Titicaca Lake. In a fast boat, we will visit the floating island of Uros (3812m/15787ft), a village dedicated to fishing and hunting that has inhabited the lake since ancient times.  These floating islands are made of totora reeds, an aquatic plant that is also used to make their homes and reed boats. Then we will continue the trip by boat to the island of Amantani where we will be greeted by a local family. We will share the rest of the day and night getting to know some of their customs and traditions. We will also visit the sacred site of Pachata and watch the sunset over Lake Titicaca. Overnight at Amantani in a local family home.

Day 11: Amantani Islands – Taquile Island – Puno (B)(L)

After a breakfast with our local family, we will say goodbye and continue the trip by boat to Taquile Island. This island consists of a village of Quechua Indians who developed a special social organization based on collective work. Additionally, this culture is known for having wonderful textile art recognized by UNESCO as living heritage. Here we will have a typical lunch and then walk through its trails with spectacular views of Lake Titicaca. Finally we return to Puno. Overnight in Puno

Day 12: Departure Day (B)

At the scheduled time transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima.
